Parking
In the city centre you have to pay to park (with a chipknip card or credit card). The parking garage at Willemsplein, at the foot of the Erasmus Bridge, holds a lot of parking spaces. It is also possible to park for free near the Rotterdam Radio, TV and Computer Museum on Ceintuurbaan and then take the Museum Night bus from there for free (from 20.00 hours). Or you can park for free near football stadium De Kuip and get (from 20.00 hours) on the Museum Night bus or Museum Night boat (please check out the last sailing).
Museum Night bus & Museum Night boat
You may take the Museum Night bus and Museum Night boat for free when you show your passkey. All venues from the Museum Night are easy to locate and clearly recognizable by the special bus stops: the Colour Markers. These illuminated poles will make sure you won’t miss the Museum Night bus stops! There are four different bus lines. At the main stop on the Schiedamsedijk by the Maritime Museum you can change onto other bus lines.
Crossing the water using the Museum Night boat becomes even more entertaining because of the special performance by the Rotterdams Wijktheater (Rotterdam Community-based Theatre). XSXL will be detailed on a large scale. Human dilemmas will be brought to light in a world that sometimes seems too large or too small. Are you ready to be confronted?
The Museum Night boat sails between the Westelijk Handelsterrein/World Museum (stop at Willemskade), Las Palmas (stop at Nieuwe Luxor), Villa Zebra (stop at Stieltjeskade) and the Feyenoord Museum (stop at De Kuip).
