Musical and visual spectacle gives the green light for the ninth Rotterdam Museum Night
20.00 hours at the Grotekerkplein in front of the Laurenskerk.
You can get yourself an optimal warm-up for what looks to be a promising night, at the church square outside the Laurenskerk. Here the Rotterdam Museum Night 2010 will kick off with a musical highlight of XS singing tones from the Rotterdams Jongenskoor (Rotterdam Boy Choir) and with XL tunes from the Codarts Brass Ensemble. The gigantic alpine horn leads Marco Kalkman’s composition to an unprecedented finale. Visual designer Chantal van Heeswijk will handle the visual part of the spectacle with 999 balloons shaped in fascinating eyes that will optimize the all-in-one experience. Ronald Plasterk, minister of Culture, will give the official starting signal for the ninth Rotterdam Museum Night by releasing these beautiful balloons to wander through the night. Be there and make it an unforgettable night!
