Various locations Rotterdam Museum Night A night at the museum strange? Arbitrary? Not really! Everybody likes to dream and tonight museums and galleries will do it for you! They will lead you into the dreams and fantasy worlds of artists. A visit to the museum is a succession of fictitious journeys. Artist collective Arbitrair meet you along the way to welcome you into the dream worlds out on the streets. Be guided through the city of night and don’t forget to dream away every so often. Arbitrair consists of Borus Fortuin, Ewout van Lambalgen and Ruben Maalman.

Various locations Rotterdam Museum Night The Authentic Boys salute the Museum Night and its visitors with a ceremonial procession. Whether in uniform or underwear, with flowers or techno beats, parades celebrate and establish traditions. The Authentic Boys join the festivities and tackle the symbols and rituals that go hand in hand with parades. You can walk into the procession anywhere anytime the whole evening. The Authentic Boys are Johannes Dullin (Germany), Boris van Hoof (Holland), Gregory Stauffer (Switzerland) and Aaike Stuart (Holland).

Museums are oversized refrigerators in which masterpieces are preserved as freshly as possible for all eternity. But nothing lasts forever. In these depots, works of art are kept that will disintegrate and lose colour in broad daylight will disintegrate and lose colour. So, when does a masterpiece actually expire? How long does it take before a Van Gogh starts to smell unpleasant and odd spots appear? When do still lives go off quietly? Come and look, taste and smell.
